Titanium
The previous line-up of Titanium disolved shortly after the 'Lost
Soul' recording sessions, but by mid-1999 we were back in the studio
with a new line up consisting of Dean, myself, Elissa Coffman on
vocals, Sean Vournazos on keyboards and Mark McLeod on drums.
The aim for this recording session was to produce a five track
EP, but due in part to my ill health at the time, we ran a bit behind
schedule and decided to release the first three tracks as a CD single
in time to co-incide with our first gigs with the new line-up.
This CD also featured a fantastic multimedia presskit which was
put together by our keyboard player Sean Vournazos.
The plan was then to go back to the studio and record The Lonely
Circus, Eyes In Darkness, and War Story, which would have been enough
material for a full album. Despite receiving an incredibly generous
offer from Martin Stott at Pound Studios that would have allowed
us to complete the album within our limitted budget, there was a
lack of interest from some of the other members, which lead to Dean
and I deciding to disband soon after.
The fact that I cannot include any lyrics from this CD on my website
due to threats of legal action from an ex-band member should be
a pretty good indication of what Dean and I were up against with
this line up of the band. Despite all of this, I'm still very proud
of the Oceans CD.
