In the dark of the night the voice, it comes to torment you,
Look up to the stars and see, your whole world crashing down,
No prayer to be said, no god, for you to call upon,
Just wait for your death and hope, your soul won't make a sound.

Life: the eyes in darkness wait to take; alluring us to senseless fate,
Even now we hesitate, our spirits drifting,
Fear: driving us to find the light; the carvern rim is now in sight,
The dead wake to resurgent life, with clouds uplifting.
